Amazing food, wonderful service and exceptional value for money. Friendly staff and chef , who took the time to check on us. Highly recommend!

On a Tuesday afternoon after a long hike we went for a wander to get some food. After checking for a street with alot of restaurants on it we were surprised that Gurkha was the only one that was open and boy were we lucky! We were met with great service. I introduced my partner to momo's and we had a dansak (milder than I'm used to but so tasty) along with coconut rice and some other things to pick at. They brought out this most epic pashwari naan I've ever had. It was huge and moist but crispy on the outside and sweet on the inside. I couldn't stop talking about it ! The choice of beers was great also! The momo's were fantastic and reminds me of Nepal (they are a spicy dumpling and can be pan fried too). Honestly a lucky accident we found this place but completely exceeded our expectations! Thank you Gurkha!

We went on a quiet Wednesday but the level of service was outstanding the chef knew exactly what we wanted and delivered! If you’re looking for good Indian food in Torquay try this place. Don’t be deceived by the simplicity of the restaurant. The food speaks for itself! One of the best Indian restaurants in Torquay.

By far the best Nepalese I've ever had! I tried a few new things and was blown away. I really recommend the Pokhareli haans, which was kind of a creamy cold duck salad, almost had a kind of Thai vibe to the flavours, and the choyala, which was an absolutely phenomenonal lamb dish. Seriously good flavour and texture.

Superb Nepalese food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of food per dish and cooked to an excellent standard.

Wonderful tasty vegetarian food, I had the thali, which was a very big portion. Highly recommend, the staff were really friendly too.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. We had the garlic chilli chicken and Everest cocktail, both amazing!

The service was really good, friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. There were the classic Indian dishes, with interesting Nepalese dishes too. The momos were really fresh and tasty, and the aloo tama was of a good portion and nicely spiced. The naan was the highlight, it was different from the usual naans, and was slightly sweet and had a crisp outer layer, and more substantial than the typical.
